Committees

General Assembly

The General Assembly contains the largest and most global committees of HMUN Australia. Ranging from four of the standing committees of the UN General Assembly to Special Summits, they tackle issues that affect all nations, large or small, developing or highly developed.

ECOSOC and Regional Bodies

Both Economic and Social Council committees and Regional Bodies are resolution-based and mid-sized, allowing delegates to take the floor multiple times throughout the weekend. Regional Bodies have a unique regional focus, allowing for deep and nuanced debate on a particular region.

Specialized Bodies

Specialized Bodies are directive-based and small-sized, allowing members to explore leadership and negotiation from a unique perspective.

Crisis Committees

Crisis Committees are directive-based and small-sized, with backroom elements, simulating the fast-paced and unpredictable challenges that face our global leaders.
